As advertised, these shoes have a 'zero drop' style, which basically means that the heel is not elevated - the sole is flat from heel to toe as opposed to most shoes of this type where the sole is thicker at the heel and then tapers down to the toes. It's an interesting feeling and you wouldn't think that such a small difference in sole angle would matter, but you can feel it for sure - I'm just not sure how it affected my walking or moving.
The shoes themselves are very light weight and are quality-stitched - no blemishes or defects in the pair that I received. The shoes themselves are monotone so they're not going to stand out or look flashy, but that's not the point of these things. The fabric pattern is pleasant enough that even monotone, they have a nice look to them.
Unfortunately for me, I had a fit issue with these shoes, but I hesitate to blame them for it. While size 11s (Euro 44) usually fit my feet fine, these were just a bit long in the toe and so the right shoe was breaking in the wrong place and rubbed the top of my foot raw. Again, not necessarily an issue of the shoe but I don't often have this problem so it could be a problem with the style or particular cut of this model - just be aware and walk around the house in them for a while before cutting off any tags, etc.
As for the wide toe box advertised, I suppose that's true. I do have wide feet and I didn't feel like my toes were being compressed into a small space. I have wide feet and usually get the 'W' variety of shoes so if you also have wide feet these may be just the thing. There are no half sizes though, so I'm not sure if a 10.5 would have fit better on me and removed that breaking issues.
I'd take a chance on these if you want to try the zero-drop style - you can always return them if they don't fit right.
